He didn't realize that you were one of his Dad's favorite players and that you played for the Crew from 1989-1996. By the way that was same time Dad was in High School and College. P.S. Vaughn hit 355 Home Runs during his 15 year career.

Brewer Outfielder Jody Gerut with Grady and Mom. Jody was very friendly. He asked how old Grady was and talked about his 15 month old son Troy.
I hope some day Grady has someone as great as Robin Yount to be a fan of. Robin was a rookie for the Brewers in 1974. That was the year Ryan was born. Robin retired after the 1993 season. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.

A Wrestling Meet

Saturday mid-morning after our Groundhog Breakfast we drove over to Marshall in order to watch our neighbor's the Woods son Tyler wrestle.

Tyler is a member of the La Crosse Area Wrestling club. His Dad Paul is kind of like his Capt. Lou Albano.
Tyler won his first two matches. Here he is wrestling against a national champion. Missy, Paul and Tyler's Grandma watch. Grady is studying the match, while Hillary wonders what she has to look forward to.

This was near the end of another wrestling match. This time Hillary vs Grady in what is dubbed a Put on the Coat match. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to let him see all the different wrestling moves.

Groundhog Breakfast

Saturday was a great sleep in day. In fact not only did we both get to sleep in, we were able to both get showers and dressed before Grady even woke up. Once everyone was up and ready it was off to breakfast. The Sun Prairie Groundhog Celebration and Community Breakfast to be exact. Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage and Apple Sauce. (No the sausages were not made from Groundhogs)

In addition to Daddy's pictures, the local newspaper took Grady's picture.He also was on camera when a certain TV station showed up.

Ice Fishing

Friday I headed up to Little Green Lake for a weekend of ice fishing with some friends.

Woody pulls a decent perch out around 3pm. He would later go on to catch his 2nd and final fish of the weekend an hour later.
That evening as the rest of the guys arrived we discuss our plans to bring peace to the world.

Saturday we were out early in an attempt to beat the pending rain. Not even a bite.

The rains came late Saturday washing out a planned night of fishing. Sunday was also washed away by rain. After breakfast we headed for home. Thank you to Duey for setting this all up again. I am looking forward to next year!

It is great to get away and spend time with friends, but it sure is good to come home. I am looking forward to the day when I can bring my little buddy along.
A few weeks ago I spent some time trying to teach Grady how to signal a touchdown but he didn't seem to get it. Well today he showed me he did "get it".

Little girls dance their way into your heart, whirling on the tips of angel wings, scattering gold dust & kisses in our paths.

Yesterday, we had our ultrasound and found out that we're having a little girl! Both Ryan and I are surprised and excited about having a daughter. Ryan said, "Oh no, we're going to have princess dresses in our house!" Here are some of my thoughts...

1. She can be a member of the 2034 U.S. Women's Hockey Team.
2. I hope she likes purple more than pink. Purple was my favorite color when I was little.
3. We get to visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney World to have her hair done up.
4. I hope she plays with chemistry sets, blocks, Legos, cars, and "choo choo" with Grady.
4. I hope she likes Disney Princesses much more than Barbie and Bratz (ugh!) dolls. I never owned a Barbie, and I'm proud of that.
5. She can play soccer or whatever sport she chooses, and Ryan won't mind.
6. More than anything, I hope she grows up to be confident, intelligent, and happy.

Another one of Grady's favorite things to do is to play with the refrigerator magnets.

No matter how we arrange the letters... Grady always picks out the same two letters.
