Luke and Grady Hanging Out
Joe and Joanie's Visit
Joe was my wonderful custodian at Watertown High School. He retired this past spring, and I already miss seeing his happy face at the end of every school day!
Joanie, Joe, and Grady after dinner
We're really looking forward to doing dinner in Watertown soon with them. They are such wonderful friends!

Mommy's 15 Year Class Reunion
Saturday my Dad and I went with my Mom to Watertown for her high school class reunion. The first round of events was a picnic at a park.
Dad took me over to the playground where we hung out while Mom and her classmates greeted each other.
I love parks!
First order of business was to go swinging. Actually it was second as I needed a diaper change. Once I got some new bun huggers on I was off to the swings.
Here I am enjoying the swings. I guess the city of Watertown has a lot of big bottom babies as I had room for two. I will have to invite a lady friend for a swing the next time I get over that way.
I have to say it was really a nice day for a picnic. Just the right mix of sunshine, clouds and wind. I have to give credit to Dad's co-workers who forcasted this perfectly.
Here I am with a couple of my lady friends. Mya and Callie's moms went to school with my mom. Dad says they talk really loud when they get together. I would say the apples do not fall far from the trees. Me on the other hand I take after Dad. I speak quietly and only raise my voice when absolutely neccessary.
Dad was telling me about some of things he was going to do on Sunday after taking care of Mommy and making sure she felt ok. He is always so nice and thoughtful like that. He was going to mow the yard and also spread some grass seed and so I was doing a comparison with what they have here in this park.
Ok, so seriously though, this Cougar could not keep her eyes off of me. She is pretty nice and all. She is also getting a horse. I am thinking maybe we can enter it in some races or something and win a little cash. Just a thought.
I almost forgot. The whole reason we were there. The picnic. After lunch and lots of talking. Mom's classmates all got together for a picture.
Here they are the Dave Kostka's 3rd hour History of Air Hockey Class Spring of 94.
Even though only 17 out of 250+ (sounds like Jody Gerut's batting average) were at the picnic, there were closer to 75 who made it out for the evening activities in downtown Watertown.
I asked Dad to put some old pictures of Mom on the blog. She will be so thankful I bet I get an extra apples sauce tomorrow.
Mommy, Jenny Cook (Spredemann), Julie Gremmels (Kreblin) Akiko Brownstein. Mom must have been going camping after the dance because she was apparently afraid of mosquitos biting her arms. Jenny must have worked part time as an Irish maid.
On a side note, the little girl Mya from an earlier picture who was on my left, her mom is in the bright red dress.
Here Mommy appears to walking over a bridge again to go camping. I guess I should bring skeeter spray when I go to visit Grandma and Grandpa Phelps.
Mom is celebrating her acceptance into UW. She apparently was excited about the party life rep at UW. Here she gives her best Captain Morgan pose. Got a little Captain in ya?
So here are the girls from the class of 1994. Quite clever the sign in the background since their HS nickname is the Goslings. I always thought a Gosling was some kid who had 7 brothers and sisters. One other side note. That Cougar Callie's mom is in the front row on the left.

Wrestling Night
When I was a kid, I can remember wrestling with my dad. The object was to pin him. To this day I don't think I ever did. Maybe once or twice when I was in high school. Frankly, I don't think either of us would be up for a rematch today. That brings me to the other night...
Lesson #1 Don't be fooled by this cute grin.
I was just minding my own business when WHACK! Grady brings the thunder.
I wasn't going to stand for that. I hated the dreaded chicken wing when I was kid. Try this on!
I also hated getting put in a Full Nelson. Who is laying the smack down now?
How about a little WWE action. Try on a Hulk Hogan leg drop for size. You had enough yet little man?
What the heck? Grady uses a leg scissors to escape and reverse the momentum. Brooks was refereeing.
Oooooooooh Yeaaaaaaah! Look who is in control now!
Hey old man, how about a knuckle sandwich?
What's wrong. You need a little G-Force slap down?
Ha ha! Whose putting whom to bed tonight?
Grady Lobenstein, 8 month old Intercontinental Champion
Ok, so what can I say? Maybe next time I will have to use the Camel Clutch or a Figure Four Leg Lock on him. If all else fails. Maybe we can be tag team partners.
