Hockey Night Out

Saturday Night was Hockey Night for Grady and Dad. Mommy meanwhile took 6th place in a trivia contest in Watertown.
UW hosted St. Cloud State at the Kohl Center.
Grady enjoying the UW Band before the game.
Grady practices his chants...One, Two, We Want More! Sieve, Sieve, Sieve.
Our friend John Melahn joined us. Grady and John discussing the merits of eTrade.
Look who we hung out with between periods. Grandpa Lobe and...
...Grandma too. Grandpa also taught Grady some new tricks
After the 2nd period, Grady and this guy played a little concourse hockey.
Apparently slashing is legal in concourse hockey. Looks like Dad has to stop in the gift shop.
As soon as we got home Grady couldn't wait to show Brooks his new Hockey Stick. Ok, actually he just chased the dog around the house for 10 minutes.
Future Badger Grady Lobenstein
He would not let go of his new Hockey Stick!

The Train Show

Saturday was the Model Train Show in Madison and we took the boys.
Choo Choo after Choo Choo after Choo Choo...
They even had train rides!
Luke, Rick, Grady and Hillary take a ride on the Circus Train.
"Hello, is that you Bumpa?" Grandpa Lobe called to check in on the boys.
Luke gets a lift from his Dad.
This was one of the many trains at the Alliant Energy Center. This was only half of the display.
Here comes the train while a Plasticville resident changes a tire on Main Street.
Oh no, House Fire in Plasticville
Plasticville Frosty Bar
Grady and Luke had a great time and we all look forward to the next time we can get the boys together.

What We Did On Wednesday

A follow up ultrasound this afternoon brought us another look at Baby Girl Lobenstein. She was much more cooperative today. And at one point she even waved hello.
When we got home, we took a walk...
... and Grady made sure to stop at each trash can...
...to inspect the wheels.
Maybe we should look into getting a second leash for Grady.
Our little man is quite the hiker. We can't wait for it to warm up. I think there will be quite a few evenings spent walking to the park.

Grady and his Valentine Balloon from Aunt Ashley and Uncle Trevor. He likes to chase Brooks with it. Brooks doesn't like the balloon so much.
Dad gives Grady a hand while he makes Valentines for his daycare roomates.
Grady has started coloring. To be honest he kind of sucks at it. Seriously he can't stay in the lines and he can't even make up his mind what hand to draw with. Just saying!
I am pretty sure he will need to improve quite a bit before I consider doing a story on him.
When he isn't drawing, you can often find him in his room reading.
What he lacks in drawing skill he makes up in reading ability.
Or is it picture looking ability?
After I went away and came back I found him like this with a new book.
No matter what we love our little artist.
Grady meanwhile attempting to pull the drawers over on top of himself. As you can see he did it.
"#$!&* Drawers!"
Grady testing out his new shoes while dancing...
...dancing all the way to the bath.
