Winter in the Northwoods

We had the chance to get away and go north to spend some time with Hillary's family at their Mercer home, Big Bear Lodge. Every year the Phelps family heads north on Christmas and spends the week and New Year's Eve at the Lodge. Here are a few of my pictures from a walk I took today.

This is a view of the lake Big Bear Lodge sits on North of Mercer.

Brooks came along on my walk...slowly came along on my walk.

The snow blows across Rice Lake road.

Snowmobiles and autos weren't the only tracks on the road.

This creek runs under the road and is a favorite spot for photos.

I tried to get creative and played with the shutter speed on my Sony DSC-H9 camera.

Down the road are some of the world famous Cranberry Bogs.

I took this pic of Grady as we got him ready for a big photo shoot. Hillary's sister Ashley and husband Trevor took some amazing pictures and we look forward to posting them here. Thanks goes out to the Talented Uncle Trevor, MD!
