Family Vacation Day 3
Our third day of vacation was spent in Morgantown, West Virginia. My good friends from my years of raft guiding in Hot Springs, North Carolina live in WV. Mary Angel and Dave and their daughter, Olivia, welcomed us into their home for our visit. We had a wonderful time.
It's all smiles from these cutie-pies. Grady and Olivia are adorable!
Olivia is an active four year old. She does it all--from picking tomatoes, to playing with Grady, to picking flowers, to licking out the brownie batter bowl (chocolate! chocolate! chocolate!). Olivia and I are reading a book on their beautiful front porch.
Olivia and I from across the street. Note the beautiful sunflowers on the left side of the garden.
The tallest sunflower!
Olivia shows Grady a different way to ride in the stroller.
The cow house! We definitely got a workout on this walk. This was no "easy-around-the-flat-block" in Wisconsin terrain. It was up and down "all-over-town."
Go Mountaineers! These cows support WVU!
In the afternoon, we all went out to Cooper's Rock, a beautiful look-out area close to Morgantown.
Olivia is all smiles on the hike.

The lookout area.
We're enjoying the view, and Olivia enjoyed climbing around on the rocky area. She also enjoyed dipping her feet in the little puddles and creating wet footprints with them.
More beautiful views.
After Cooper's Rock, we went to a beautiful park with swing sets and a swimming hole (perfect from Grady and Olivia!). Olivia is a great swimmer, and she is demonstrating her excellent technique to Grady. Grady enjoyed splashing in the water, and he has recently started moving both arms and legs when we're working on his front float. In the future, Olivia and Grady will be on the US Olympic Team in 2028 together.
These skilled lifeguards and raft guides watch the swimmers diligently.
