Sunday was Father's Day so my Dad, brother-in-law Rick and nephew Luke went to the Brewer game. (Brewers Won)
A chronicle of our lives together as a family in the Midwest. Ryan, a sports enthusiast. Hillary, a proud mother counting down to our family's first trip to Disney. Grady, a future All-American. Audra, our curly little cruiser. Brooks, a terrorist terrier.

It's for real!
This afternoon we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat at our doctor appointment. We've been waiting for this until we told everyone our good news. It was most amazing sound. Ryan and I were both in awe. Tomorrow is the start of the second trimester. I'm feeling good. Growing out of some of my normal clothes. And very excited about telling all of our friends and family the big news!

Our Big News
We're pregnant! On Tuesday, we'll be 12 weeks along. Some details.... On May 19th, we will get to hear the baby's heart beat. On July 9th, we will know if we're having a boy or a girl. November 19th is our due date. We pray that everything continues to go well. We feel incredibly blessed by this tiny miracle.

Happy Easter!
We have so much to be thankful for on this Easter Sunday. We were able to spend the day with my family yesterday. We are spending the day with Ryan's family this afternoon. Our friends, Emily and Phil, will be closing on a house in our neighborhood in June. Brooks and Rocco will live in the same neighborhood again. I am also thankful for a lively and spirited Easter service at church this morning. I am also thankful for coffee, Top Chef, my love of cooking, a family that loves and tolerates Brooks, Scrabulous, Post Secret, April 10th (when "The Office" returns), and sugar. Most of all, I am blessed by friends and family from many places.
Our little dog attacked the Easter Bunny yeserday. The Easter Bunny--played by Keith, my sister's father-in-law--did provoke Brooks by growling at him. The EB was protected by his hard plastic head, but Brooks' teeth were shown. Pictures to come soon! No one was hurt in the incident. Brooks did run away with the EB's tail once he was put down.

Brett Favre Retires!
Ryan took this photo while working for WMTV at the Packer v. Viking game at Lambeau in 07. P.S. We are not naming our baby Brett if it is a boy. Maybe Favre though...

Our beloved Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers retired yesterday. My favorite radio station--105.5 Triple M featured a 15 minutes tribute to Brett Favre--including a great goofy singer, songwriter tune. You can check out their website at www.1055triplem.com
Here were a few of the comments posted on the website. Many individuals wrote they were going to cry themselves to sleep.

hey brett...will you marry me?
i know it has nothing to do with football...and you're already married...but i love you. :)
This is a feeling that is worse for me than when I heard Elvis had died! There will be a lot of grieving fans but I hope the Favre family my best and super football Sundays from the spectator side as a fan.
My favorite aspect they offered was an e-sympathy card. I promptly sent one to Ryan.
In Deepest Sympathy
On the retirement of your favorite quarterback, Brett Favre.
Remember when God closes a door, he opens a window.
Please don't jump out of it.
PS-The Bears Still Suck!
Can you even imagine how many little boys born in Wisconsin this year will be named Brett?
