What a Whirlwind Weekend

Friday night wrestling Royal Rumble at the Lobenstein home.
Grady strikes first with a body slam to daddy from the top rope.
Brooks takes the belt with a pin of Audra.
Saturday morning...hello winter and hello snow blower.
The 4 + inches of snow couldn't keep us away from joining Cousin Luke at Sesame Street Live Saturday morning. It starred Elmo, Grover and friends.
The kids were riveted to the dancing and singing residents of Sesame Street.
The fun just kept on going, it was over to Olbrich to visit the Holiday Train display.
"Hey what happened to the high-speed rail that was suppose to be here?"
Our little leopard Audra and Mommy enjoying all the cool trains and pretty flowers.
At some point Luke pointed to this train and said it was the kind of train that was coming to Madison. I didn't have the heart to tell him at this point it wasn't going to happen.
Luke discusses the merits of commuter rail and high speed rail over a snack of cookies and apple cider.
Ho Ho Ho, I told you we were busy. Audra meets Santa for the first time.
Luke turns on the charm for old St. Nick.
Grady asking Santa for guess what? Yep, a train for Christmas.
This was by far Grady's best visit with Santa. The third time was a charm. Back in 08 he slept through the whole visit. In 09 he was terrified. This year he was the first one in the room and was up on Santa's lap before I could even get the camera out.
Merry Christmas from the Lobenstein's and Cousin Luke
Back at home it was time to put up the tree. Audra and Brooks watch over the project.
Brooks earns his elf shoes by digging for branches.
Me multi-tasking!
Sunday morning we took the kids to Children's Service at church. The boys behaved very well and I think they both enjoyed all the singing about baby Jesus.
After church Grady found the fresh snow fun to play in.
Sunday also marked Audra turning 6 months old. Happy half-way to One day.
I also finished putting up the outside lights in the back and front (see above) of the house.
Brooks watches for Santa.
G for Grady and A for Audra
We wrapped up the wonderful weekend by finishing the tree, with Grady's help of course.
