Phelps Family Dells Getaway

This weekend we visited the Dells with Grandpa and Grandma Phelps along with Uncle Trevor and Aunt Ashley. We stayed at the Great Wolf Resort and here a couple pictures from our time there.
Grady shows off his swim pants.
Audra sports her new suit and fancy shoes.
Aunt Ashley, Uncle Trevor and Hillary take a brief pause from lifeguard duties.
Grandma Barb and Audra chilling. Audra was too excited by all the people and or water activities.
Eventually with a helping hand from Grandpa Randy, Audra checked out the pools.
Audra made sure to keep an eye on her brother before trying out any of the slides.
Grady was an old pro and road the slides as fast as he could "walk" from the bottom to the top.
Our last trip here Grady needed some help at the bottom, but this time around he was a one man water slide riding machine.
Audra after watching countless trips by her big brother got up the courage to ride with her mom and dad.
Just to be safe one of us would give her a little extra help at the bottom. Of course the whole time keeping an eye on her brother.
My highlight of the day in the waterpark was a lazy river ride together.
The view from the balcony of our room. What a great weather weekend.
Our little Monkey is a huge @JohnAxford fan just like her dad. The mustache belongs to her Aunt and we have no idea why. But we do know she doesn't like to take pictures while wearing them.
As I said earlier the weather has been wonderful, in fact the weather has been so nice that the Original Dells Ducks were open for business and so we all took a ride.
Along the trip we saw some 4 legged friends. Can you see all 3?
Grady was very vigil watching for deer and fish. The Wisconsin River was packed with people Walleye fishing.
If I stand behind this tree there is no way they see me.
Overlooking the WI River from atop a Dells Bluff.

Thank you to Randy, Barb, Trevor and Ashley for planning the trip. I hope everyone had as much fun as Grady did sliding!

Happy 5th Birthday Luke

Our Nephew and Grady and Audra's Cousin, Luke turned 5 years old on Monday. We helped him celebrate at Chucky E Cheese's.
Happy Birthday Lukey!
Luke's smile pose is getting a little better. But he still puts the cheese in Say Cheese.
Let the games begin.
Bowling Time
While this form is acceptable in spring training camps throughout Arizona, it isn't the suggested delivery for ski ball.
Luke needs some work on his air hockey defense.
Audra gets some assistance from Aunt Michelle while Grady takes hist turn bowling.
Uncle Rick watches Luke practice being a police officer.
Audra's favorite game was this baseball pinball game.
Grady gives Chuck five. Audra on the other hand didn't want anything to do with the big ol' Mouse.
Grady watches nervously as Luke plays this racing game.
Audra didn't want to try many of the rides or games but she did take a ride with the Tele Tubbies.
Even better she smiled as Aunt Michelle played peek-a-boo with her.
Cheesey smiles go well with Cheese Pizza.
Luke was very good at this game. He was able to hold onto the big winning coupon! If it was only cash...
Aunt Michelle and Uncle Rick oversee the crew! Thank you guys for inviting us.
Chuck crowns the birthday boy.
Happy Birthday from everyone to Luke! Enjoy being 5!

March In Like a White Lion

Fables have it that March comes in like a lamb. Then about a day later a great big White Lion smells the lamb and wham. Our first snowman of the Winter is born.
Step 1: Dad rolls the base of the snowman and keeps Grady from destroying it.
Step 2: Dad rolls the middle and places it on top of the first part of the snowman. At this point Grady is trusted to not destroy the project.
Step 3 and 4: Roll the 3rd part of the snowman and place it on top of parts 2 and 1. Then decorate it with kit from Grandma and Grandpa.
Smile we have built our first snowman!
Our snowman hangs out in the backyard we wouldn't have a chance to forget that as Brooks reminded us all night long. This would be the first sign that our snowman wouldn't be staying long.
This is a reminder that today (Sunday) is the first spring training game for the Brewers.
Hey Grady...I have something for you.
Snow Facial!
Snow Angel
Who you looking at?
I don't smell anything.
I let him figure it out on his own that it wasn't a real carrot.

Shortly afterwards Grady got his wish of tackling the snowman. Dad gave him some help squishing it.

February Spring

40+ degree days in February with no snow are rare so every opportunity to enjoy them must be taken in full.

Audra drives the fort. While Grady is exploring.
Grady Loves to Go "Hunting" across the alley in the tall grass.
Audra likes Daddy's help when sliding. Daddy likes helping!
