Egg Hunt Training

What's Up Doc?
Grandpa Randy and Aunt Ashley going over Easter Egg Hunt guidelines. It was the annual kids Easter event at the Methodist Church in Watertown.
Audra is off and searching for her first Easter eggs.
Out of my way Mom I have eggs to find.
The golden egg!
Wait a minute this isn't an egg, Grandpa has a cupcake. Correction, Grandpa had a cupcake.
One big bunny and Grady.
Audra is not so sure about this guy.

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma

After coming back from Iowa we stopped in Dodgeville for the night to stay at Ryan's parents.
Grady gets some porch swinging help from Grandma Lobenstein
Our little ham Audra smiling for the camera. In the past couple of weeks her personality has really taken off. She is even talking a little. Ma ma ma and Go Brewers.
Aunt Michelle and Cousin Luke stopped out to visit too.
Luke and Grady with Grandpa Lobenstein and his soon to be former work truck. He is retiring in a couple weeks.
We tried to take a non-awkward family photo but this was the best we could get.
Back home we enjoyed our beautiful Wisconsin weather with some back yard ball.
Audra played really short stop.

Grady and Audra discus the finer points of fielding grounders.
Grady continues the teaching moments. In this photo he demonstrates the proper way to charge the mound.

Happy Anniversary Holly and Dave

Last Saturday, we went on an adventure to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the Lighthouse Inn. We celebrated Holly and Dave's 28th wedding anniversary. Holly is my Mom's cousin. (By the way, this is Hillary writing this post.)

Holly, Dave, and Dick enjoy appetizers.

Holly and Dave--the happy couple. What you don't see is that they are playing "footsie" underneath the table!

Dave, Dick, and Ken

Delmar and Irene

Aunt Lenore and Uncle Bob--Aunt Lenore is my grandmother Evelyn's sister.

Chris (Holly and Dave's first son) and his girlfriend Jessica just had a baby last month.
This is Aubrey--what a cutie pie! She was so tiny next to Audra.
It's really amazing how quickly they grow.

Waitress Barb (Grandma Hoy) is serving Jessica and Chris appetizers.

Audra Eve enjoys her crackers and apple juice. Audra's middle name, Eve, is a shortened form of my grandmother's name, Evelyn.

Auntie Ashley saves the day with her iPhone and it's kid friendly apps. Grady enjoys playing some animal themed apps. He even learned the word, dromedary (a camel), from this. Grady also enjoyed looking at the fish ("Nemo") in the restaurant's fish tanks. He also told me there was a monkey in the tree outside. Hmmmmm...I'm not so sure about that.

A few other highlights from the evening include seeing Matt (Holly and Dave's second son). I'm sorry that we didn't get a picture of him in here. Grady telling Holly upon arrival that "I'm not jolly when I see you." Holly also asked Grady what one of the dwarfs (from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) he liked the most. Apparently, Grady responded with an inappropriate word starting with an A that has two syllables. It loosely rhymes with "heigh-ho." So, I'm hoping that he just said "heigh-ho," and Holly and Ashley interpreted incorrectly!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Saturday Grady, My Cousin Dave and I went to Miller Park to see the Brewer's Rising Stars Game. On the drive over, Grady sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame about a dozen times. Dave and Grady
Miller Park's brand new scoreboard is amazing.
Grady enjoying some popcorn. He would eventually ask for peanuts.
Play Ball!
Our own little Rising Star rocks and fires a perfect strike.
Dave gives Grady a better view of the Klement's Racing Sausages.
The Amazing Scoreboard once more. The White team would beat the Blue team 2-0 which is a good sign for the future of the Brewers pitching.
I am looking forward to taking the boy back to the old ball game.

Cousin Luke rides the big slide.
Yep, it works!
Next it is Grady's turn.

Anyone seen Luke? Anyone seen Grady?
Audra and Daddy watching the action.
Uh oh it appears things have taken a turn for worse, bouncy fun has turned to family vs. family.
Grady's height turns out to be an advantage.
Wait, Grady's got help from Aunt Hillary.
Looks like Luke has a bigger target.
Audra is excited that everyone made it out ok.
Lunch at Red Robin. Audra wants a Burger.
Chicken Nuggets and Mac & Cheese for the boys.
After naps it was off to the pool.
We all are looking forward to summer! Thanks cousin Luke for joining us.
